Advanced Design System (ADS) Wireless Libraries |
*** This library is only licensed for use by Promoter/Adopter members of the WirelessHD consortium. What is a Wireless Library?Wireless Connectivity technology is facing a number of evolving standards. Product development, however, cannot always wait for the standards to stabilize. Also, in many cases baseband design engineers and analog/RF/RFIC design engineers are out of sync in the development of systems and chipsets for commercial wireless systems. This offset in development timing can cause delays in time to market for new emerging wireless systems and chipsets. Agilent's Wireless Library solutions offer a way to meet time-to-market demands of evolving wireless system designs by delivering early representations of PHY level systems that conform to the evolving standards. These libraries offer system designers and baseband algorithm designers "Golden Reference" models that can be used to simulate and verify algorithm and complete system performance early in the design phase. By combining accurate, spec-compliant PHY level baseband models with accurate representations of the RF channel the complete system can be quickly modeled. As the standards stabilize and mature, these libraries will evolve into fully documented and formally supported Design Library products that are fully compliant to a given standard. Agilent's Wireless Library solutions work with Agilent's Advanced Design System (ADS) EDA software and Agilent's Ptolemy simulator. Through links between ADS and Agilent measurement platforms, Agilent's wireless libraries can also be used to generate and acquire actual test waveforms for early HW evaluation. |
