RF Design Environment 2003A - What's New

RF Design Environment (RFDE) 2003A offers important enhancements in compatibility, value, usability, speed, and simplicity.

Key enhancements include the following:

• Support for Cadence IC v5.0.

• In simulations, node currents can be saved without having to place current probes into the schematic. This saves time, keeps schematics simpler, and makes the size of problems for simulation smaller, for faster solutions.   illustration >>

• Additional differential measurements are available in RFDE Expression Builder. Designers can now obtain these additional results quickly - just by clicking the pre-configured measurements desired and running the simulation.   illustration >>

• Data Display enhancements.
  • Individual plots and equations can be activated and de-activated, for increased speed. This saves time updating large and complex data displays when viewing all of the plots is not necessary.   illustration >>
  • Marker functionality has been enhanced, and marker expressions can be edited directly. Edit the value of the marker frequency, power, bias, or other variables right on the marker - and the marker moves immediately to the new point.   illustration >>
  • Rapid page navigation offers improved changing and visibility of Data Display pages. This is done through page advance buttons that step through all available pages.   illustration >>
  • Trace differentiation (color-coding, symbol type, line type) is used for swept simulations. This makes it easier to read and distinguish between the various swept results traces.   illustration >>
  • The hierarchical dataset browser is much easier to use in displaying data from larger designs with expressions, variables, and the like, or from complex simulations.   illustration >>

• HICUM 2.1 BJT model support.
