Genesys Comms Pro provides an innovative simulator and use model for RF system design that creates better designs, lowers project risk, and saves time and prototyping costs by quickly
diagnosing RF analog effects that are difficult or impossible to characterize with other methods.
Why you need Genesys Comms Pro
Genesys Comms Pro provides unique value in the early phases of RF system design, where critical commitments are made to architectures, frequencies, and component partitioning. Most RF
system designers are not aware that a new class of tool has been created specifically to meet this design requirement.
Genesys Comms Pro saves time for RF system designers by accounting for analog effects while providing one-click graphical diagnosis of RF system performance. It overcomes key limitations
of spreadsheets, math & DSP engines, circuit simulators, and their limited model sets, which miss these analog effects entirely, or make problems very difficult to isolate and diagnose. This
allows RF system designers to identify and correct poor architecture choices early in the design, before commitments are made to the frequency plan, board area, layout, bill of materials, and
performance.
With > 100 pre-defined system measurements, and dozens of power and voltage-based behavioral models, designers do not need to spend time writing homegrown code, when they can use a
dedicated, graphical tool designed for the RF system design task. High-quality designs can be produced quickly, saving prototyping cycles, costly troubleshooting, and project risk.

Augments any RF design flow
Genesys Comms Pro is easy to use and affordable. It easily augments any high-frequency design flow, including those based on Agilent ADS, as well as other vendors specializing in RF &
microwave, enterprise Board, RFIC, and computational solutions. If you use spreadsheets for RF system design and do not have a connected design flow, Comms Pro is a professional tool made for
the task.

Practical RF architectures that work with physical model imperfections
Genesys Comms Pro is built around Genesys Core, which provides essential RF circuit design tools like physical models, parts libraries that add a practical realism at the system level.
Scripting, sweeps, interactive tuning, pre-defined plots, optimization, and other features also work at the system level. They allow system integrators to bring physical design imperfections
up the RF architecture level in order to quickly gauge the robustness of the architecture.
Spreadsheets do not generally account for such analog effects as
- A commercial mixer library part that produces spurs, feed-through terms, and mismatch based on measurements
- SMT component parasitics that detune filters and allow out of channel spurs to leak to unexpected areas of the system
- Impedance mismatches and phase imbalances caused by layout parasitics that incompletely cancel spurs and noise
- Frequency dependence and integrated noise, signals, and interferers within the channel bandwidth

How Genesys Comms Pro interacts with other modules
Because Genesys is modular, there are about 20 Genesys modules under $10,000 (US) that can be added to Comms Pro to complete your RF design environment.
Hundreds of board designers have found that Genesys filter synthesis and EM simulation modules make excellent supplements to Comms Pro, because they interoperate, with full Genesys
integration. For example, a behavioral filter can be synthesized in-place, or replaced with S-parameters from an EM co-simulation or a measurement of the filter, to provide more realistic
interference rejection, insertion loss and noise performance, ripple, and spur-free dynamic range.

Who should use Genesys Comms Pro
| Is this your situation? |
Benefit of Genesys Comms Pro |
| RF system designers who rely on spreadsheets |
Get superior diagnostic insight with much higher analog accuracy using easy-to-use graphical tools and models made for the task |
| RF system designers who rely math engines or time-domain DSP simulators
| DSP tools are great for verifying the signals after the RF hardware has been designed. Genesys Comms Pro helps you design the best raw, uncorrected analog RF hardware. |
| Users of Agilent ADS as well as other major EDA platforms |
Provides superior capability at a lower price to in-platform tools in the same category, with little impact to your design flow. A Special package
exists for ADS users. |
| Proposal writers, system architects, as well as creators of test & repair plans |
Get realistic and valuable system insights quickly without significant NRE or IP creation, and then follow through into implementation, verification, or professional documentation. A
proposal can be the actual design! |
| RF system design is not your area of expertise |
Genesys Comms Pro gives you a huge advantage to create or spec a working system with less consulting, while you teach yourself system design principles. |
