The S-parameter results of EM simulations are often used in a circuit simulator. Momentum includes the ability to simulate and store DC and low frequency S-parameters, making the data suitable for use as a circuit component where DC bias, or low frequency AC to active devices is needed.

Previously, without the S-parameter performance explicitly calculated, the DC and low frequency performance had to be extrapolated from the lowest frequency in the S-parameter data, which often lead to error. Now, Momentum is useful for circuits that not only contain high frequency signals, but also contain audio and video signals, and DC bias, such as with a bias structure to active devices.
