NOTE

Effective with the release of ADS 2006, E8880A SPICE Netlist Translator is included in Advanced Design System (ADS) without additional cost.

E8880A SPICE Netlist Translator enables bi-directional links between ADS and third party simulators and layout tools.

The Netlist Import capability allows you to bring your models and designs from Spectre®, PSpice, HSPICE, and Berkeley SPICE into ADS.

The Netlist Export capability provides a link between ADS and third-party IC Layout Verification tools. This enables a Layout-vs-Schematic (LVS) check between an ADS schematic and a layout from a third-party tool.

E8880A Netlist Translator allows your existing Spectre®, PSpice, HSPICE, and Berkeley SPICE designs to be translated into an Advanced Design System (ADS) subnetwork for analysis.

Once a design has been translated into an ADS subnetwork using the Netlist translator, it can be analyzed with the full range of ADS high frequency circuit simulators (Convolution, S-parameter, Harmonic Balance, and Circuit Envelope).

This technology provides more analysis capability and generates answers to existing design problems than cannot be obtained from SPICE alone. The translator allows you to fully analyze design issues such as ACPR, mixer noise figure and phase-locked loop transients.

E8880A SPICE Netlist Export provides a link between ADS and IC Layout Verification Tools by extracting a Spice netlist from a ADS schematic for Layout Versus Schematic (LVS) checking. Enabling tighter integration of ADS RFIC schematic entry and simulation environment with a number of third-party layout/verification tools.
