Mixer DesignGuide works with Advanced Design System (ADS) to help streamline the design processes of mixers used in RF and microwave circuit designs. It contains many analysis schematics and data displays that are useful for the design and analysis of RFIC mixers or the application of discrete mixers in RF systems. It is intended to save you time in setting up schematics and displaying files. The Mixer DesignGuide has passive and active mixer library IP. It provides a sample library of representative mixer types that you can experiment with or modify for your own use. It assists in simulating DC Analysis, which clarifies the range of operating conditions possible without driving the device into the ohmic or cutoff regions. Mixer analysis is greatly simplified by the Mixer DesignGuide. It provides schematics and simulation templates that assist with the evaluation of conversion gain, gain compression, input and output port impedance, s-parameters, isolation ratios, noise figure, RF & IF spectrum, two-tone intermodulation distortion and adjacent channel power. The DesignGuide also includes simulations that determine the small-signal and large-signal performance of the device under test within a variety of test conditions.
Design UtilitiesThe following design utilities are installed automatically with the Filter DesignGuide and are available under the DesignGuides menu command in ADS: License Dependency TableClick on the following link to see a table of dependencies that shows which simulator licenses are required for the various test benches in this DesignGuide:
