The Full RF-EDA Experience

-

Agilent EEsof EDA University Donation Program

Agilent EEsof EDA is the leading supplier of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software for high-frequency system, circuit, and modeling applications.

Our University Donation program offers full versions of our software to qualified academic institutions for instructional use. Agilent EEsof academic donations are not limited editions with reduced capacity or capability intended only for students. We think it is critically important to allow use of our products by students without artificial limits on capacity or capability in both formal instructional settings and personal experimentation.

We call this the "Full RF-EDA Experience". We believe it is the best environment where students can develop solid skills that will serve them throughout their career.

Powerful simulation tools such as the Advanced Design System, IC-CAP device modeling software, Momentum, Electromagnetic Design System, Genesys, or SystemVue are in use in thousands of design projects around the world. Our goal with the University Donation program is to allow students to develop skills over the full capability range of our EDA design tool capabilities in an academic setting. Students can learn to use the software preferred by the vast majority of industry users and Fortune 500 companies, so when they enter the workforce their skill with EEsof products is valued by industry leading employers. These students can confidently approach potential employers with a strong resume including skills in the exact tool that - in all probability - is being used by commercial design teams at that company.

A student who develops skills using Agilent EEsof products will have personal knowledge of the full capabilities of the EDA tool. As a new design team member, that graduate is able to fully contribute immediately without having to "unlearn" workarounds or worse yet, break through a limit on his or her imagination that was set by a limited, student-only edition of an RF-EDA tool.

The "Full RF-EDA Experience" is important to professors as well.

A student’s growing knowledge, skills and curiosity can operate in exactly the same environment as our commercial customers. That means that student creativity can be encouraged, captured, and presented in a form that’s immediately recognized and trusted in conference papers, presentation, and proposals.

And, there’s a very high probability that the industry leaders that are supporting growth of your university’s wireless, microwave-RF, Signal Integrity or EM programs are Agilent EEsof customers as well.

Your University May Qualify

Agilent EEsof's program for classroom use of our products in Higher Education has expanded to include major additions to donation product families.

Our donation program features fully operational versions of our commercial products and is available to qualifying institutions offering academic instruction in RF and Communications System design, Electromagnetic Analysis, Signal Integrity, and Device Modeling. Agilent EEsof EDA products available under the program include Advanced Design System RF EDA software, RF Design Environment, IC-CAP device modeling software, Momentum, Electromagnetic Design System, GENESYS, SystemVue, and GoldenGate.

If a section adds students, additional licenses are no problem. We offer professors in the Agilent EEsof University Academic Donation Program as many licenses as they might need for the entire class or laboratory facility at no additional charge in a supported Donation Product Family.
