Use the asterisk (*) as
a suffix wildcard character in keywords. Example: enter
filter* to find documentation with keywords such as filter or filters
or filtering.
Use quotes to find an exact
phrase. Example: "filter
coefficient".
Enter multiple keywords,
such as lowpass filter, or a Boolean expression, using AND, OR
and NOT.
Entering lowpass filter
is the same as entering lowpass and filter. Note: multiple
keywords entered without a Boolean use the AND expression.
Use an expression like lowpass
or bandpass to find documentation containing either keyword.
You can also use parentheses
in Boolean expressions. Example: (lowpass
and equiripple) or hanning.
Use NEAR operator to find
keywords that appear near each other. Example: enter
lowpass near equiripple to find documents with lowpass and equiripple
appearing near one another.
Besides using NEAR operator,
you can specify how close keywords could be. Example: enter
"lowpass w/5 equiripple" (with quotes) to find documents where
lowpass and equiripple appear within a frame of 5 words, or "w/7
lowpass equiripple filter" to find lowpass, equiripple, and filter
within a 7 word frame. Common words are not counted
as part of word frame.
Error Messages Error occurred. Do Ctrl-Refresh/Reload.
See Error Messages in Search Tips below.
This error typically occurs when you open the Search page, go to a different
page, then reopen the Search page and search for a keyword or phrase.
Workarounds:
Do a Ctrl-Refresh to refresh the Search page, make sure the "show in
new window" option is checked, then re-enter the query. If this does not work,
close all browser windows, and reopen ADS Help (Help > Topics and Index).
To avoid this error, open two ADS Help windows. Open the first one and
open the Search page in it, then continue to use this window only for searches
and opening topics from the list of results. Open a second ADS Help window and
use it only to navigate through the documentation.
