This is a complimentary half-day seminar presented by Agilent Technologies. The material was created for a full-day seminar but can be condensed into a fast-paced half-day session.

This seminar focuses on basic and advanced topics surrounding the Advanced Design System (ADS) Planar (2.5-D) Electromagnetic (EM) simulation tool, Momentum. Focus is on general usage techniques, typical applications, advanced topics such as optimization and thick-conductor simulations, as well as Advanced Model Composer (new in ADS 2003A).

    • Parameterized Layout Components. This project file has a slightly modified version of the built-in ADS example LNAEmCktCosim_prj. It includes parameterized Layout Components so that the location of the grounding via of the active device can be optimized to achieve better gain. This is also briefly covered in the main presentation.
